Meredith R. Greenberg
Originally from Ridgefield, CT, Meredith currently lives in Washington, DC. She is a graduate student pursuing her MFA in Studio Art at American University, with a focus on drawing and painting. She received her BA from Bates College in Lewiston, ME in May of 2011 with a double major in Art & Visual Culture (concentration in Studio Art) and Politics (concentration in Philosophical, Literary, and Legal Studies). In 2013 she participated in MFASTUDIOBERLIN, a residency program in conjunction with GlogauAIR in Berlin, Germany. In 2009, she studied art history, politics, and US and British history at the University of Cambridge in England.
Meredith’s work is concerned with the overlap of chaos and order in the physical world as well as in our socio-political realm. Further, she seeks to question taste, vulgarity, and the use of imagery as both social capital and as a means to form and define identity.
